What to Expect
When joining Mountain sports, you can expect to have fun! You can also expect a welcoming and warm community that enjoys the sport that you love! We offer prayer and devotional thoughts during each week of our Mountain sports offerings as well.
Do I have to attend church at Mountain to participate in sports?
No - Mountain Sports is for everyone! In fact, you don’t have to attend church at all to participate in Mountain Sports. All are welcome.
Where do these sports take place?
Sports currently take place in the gym space at one of Mountain’s campuses (Currently in Mountain Rd, Aberdeen or Edgewood)
The gym spaces are the same spaces used for Sunday worship that are transformed into a gym space during the week.
Am I required to bring my own gear?
Mountain Sports will provide the basketballs, volleyballs, and pickleballs needed. A few extra pickleball paddles are available for use. Please bring your own gym shoes, athletic wear and a water bottle.
How do I communicate with others in the league?
The pickleball and hiking communities use groups on the TeamReach app to communicate. Just download the app and enter the code given to you by the sport leader.
For other sports, you can communicate with others during the weekly sessions.
Do I need to register before coming?
Pre-registration is preferred for all sports, but walk-ups are always welcome. When you arrive, find a sport leader or Mountain Sports staff on-site and they will walk you through the registration process.
