Unstoppable Christmas Offering
This year’s Christmas Offering gives each of us a special way to make a difference for Good by unleashing generosity toward God. The next two years will advance ministry in MANY areas. Right now we will kick it all off by SPREADING God’s goodness in our own backyard, our nation’s capital, and across the world.
This is an important time for Mountain. Please PLAN and PRAY so you can make a generous gift to Mountain in December! It’s time to get going! Let’s start off with a BIG BANG and pour out generosity that will do so much Godly Good in Harford County, DC, and Kenya.
As always, gifts can be made online at MountainCC.org/Give
, in the offering kiosks at a campus, or by mailing it to Mountain.
Your generous Christmas Offering gift to Unstoppable Good can make these three things happen RIGHT NOW!
- Expand The EPICENTER by opening a new Tabitha’s House location! | $50,000
Tabitha’s House has provided food, clothes, household items, school supplies, and case management for low-income families in our county for 24 years. In 2022, Tabitha’s House merged with The EPICENTER to expand the impact of both ministries. The EPICENTER at Edgewood acquired new facility space right next door for a second Tabitha’s House location in Edgewood. Our generosity will make it possible to build out that space and open this new site, which will include a food pantry and thrift store. The target is January 2023! The EPICENTER has grown from serving 1300 people three years ago to 10,000 people in 2022, so this expansion is critical and an awesome new opportunity for GOOD.
- Grow a church plant in Washington, D.C.! | $100,000
Grace Capital City was planted by a dear friend, Chris Moerman, and his wife Jessica, in September 2016 smack dab in the capital district of Washington, DC. This dynamic church has grown by reaching and discipling young professionals, and is emerging as a church planting hub for the District. But finding space to meet continues to be tricky. Meanwhile, an historic downtown church nearby is closing its doors and has put their building on the market. It’s at risk of going the way of many historic churches in DC, being turned into apartments or condos. Grace Capital City needs a building, and God wants to see his church flourish in the heart of the capital. We can rally with other visionary partners to purchase and renovate the building so it can live on in an exciting new way. We need a church like this, just blocks from the White House, to be a catalyst for more thriving and biblical churches to grow in the DMV for generations to come. That’s GOOD!
- Invest in the Gerbers’ ministry in the slums of Kenya! | $50,000
Pat and Katie Gerber, with their daughter, Hannah, have served with Missions of Hope International (MOHI) in Nairobi, Kenya since 2016 when they were launched from our Mountain family. Pat leads and trains a team of Kenyans to produce all of MOHI’s media content. Katie is instrumental in curriculum development for children, including MOHI’s Angaza camp, which Mountain helped launch in 2021 to create a one-of-a-kind experience for students to encounter Jesus. Our generosity will enable them to continue to develop discipleship programs for MOHI’s 24,000+ kids and 1,400+ staff and promote child sponsorship to more partners across the world.
