Little known fact about you?

I have ruptured my right Achilles Tendon twice! The first time I was taking my victory trot around the softball field after hitting a home run…the second was during a rousing game of Capture the Flag at our church camp.

When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a drummer in a rock-n-roll band. I started my short-lived career in 4th-grade concert band… myself and Mickey Kahn (from Iran) were the percussion section. Mickey was a BLAST… I remember one time a bunch of us kids were playing baseball with him and the bat he was using was entirely too heavy… so we told him to choke up on it. Well, he did, literally… he hoisted the bat up in front of his mouth and coughed on the bat handle… we all hit the ground laughing…poor Mickey.

If you could vacation anywhere, where would it be?

I would vacation in Europe… stay in hostels… travel by train, bike, boat, car, bus and walk. I would work from South to North and end in Norway where I have some distant relatives.
