Think Christianly
The New Testament is very concerned about our thinking and especially the way we think about things. The Apostle Paul says for us to have the mind of Christ (Phil. 2:5) and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Rom. 12:2). Jesus began His earthly ministry by challenging us to change/enlarge the way we think so that we might believe the gospel (Mark 1:14-15).
But how often do we take time to examine our thinking? Our actual worldview? And when do we ever find an opportunity to do so in a community of other believers?
We certainly do have a lot to think through these days: spiritual views, social views, political views. Just how do we think about the controversial issues of our day?
That's what this six-week session is all about: taking a step back from what we might think about things to examine the way we think about things. We won't be seeking answers, in fact, we will (temporarily) take the simple answers and easy solutions off the table so that we can explore more deeply our own thoughts.
