In Revelation 12, we meet scary, dragons, and other creatures representing Satan himself. In this section, and in the next few chapters, we learn some of the strategies Satan uses. He infiltrates government, false, teaching, and false religion, as well as just flat out hedonistic living. Our enemy is real, but the same Jesus who holds the throne is holding you.
