Ready to Bake!

The Dream Team has just helped another vision become a reality! Over the last year, our own Jill Shuck accepted a calling to use her baking and entrepreneurial skills to help people in the Mathare slum of Nairobi learn essential skills that can bless their community and provide for their families. Mountain's beloved partner, Missions of Hope International (MOHI), has a skills training center where adults are taught and empowered in a variety of areas, such as sewing, jewelry making, welding, design, and--now because of the Dream Team and Jill's step of faith--BAKING! The practical trade skills learned and business experience build confidence, hope, and financial stability in the lives of the participants.

Because of Mountain's generosity, MOHI can complete the safety steps and purchase the equipment and supplies to begin training students in this new baking program in January 2020! The dream of teaching students to produce quality baked goods while embodying Christian values in the business setting and providing a lift for their families and their community now has the opportunity to come true.
