Tabitha's House
Dear Mountain Family,
Thank you so very much for the generosity you have shown to the hurting families here in Harford County through the Tabitha's House food drive. As of now the total food donations equal 5 1/3 tons of food!!! What a blessing you are to Tabitha's House, but more importantly what a blessing you are to the families we will see over the next few months. Just so you have an idea of how many people we serve during a year and how much we give away, here are the 2012 totals (we expect 2013 to be similar):
Unduplicated families served (some families were seen more than once): 1,015 (2,689 individuals).
Thank you, not only for food donations, but for all items donated. Once again you have been "Living Proof of a Loving God." Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to serve the Harford County community.
Grateful for all you do,
Linda D. Underhill
Executive Director, Tabitha's House
Jesus tells us in Matthew 25 that whenever we help someone in need we are helping Him: “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). Tabitha’s House exists through the combined efforts of the Christian community of Harford County. It began as a ministry of Mountain Christian Church in 1999 as a resource center for food and clothing and now operates as an independent 501(c)3 organization. In addition to providing food and clothing, Tabitha’s House connects clients with resources for job opportunities, counseling services, and other types of aid, networking people to find the assistance that they need. Tabitha’s House is equipped to provide both temporary relief and assistance in discovering long-term solutions.
